Western Canada District Sales Representative

Crave opened in September 2004 with a passion for baking. We continue to bake the same way we started, from scratch each morning, cracking every egg. The best part of our day is sharing our cupcakes, cakes, and cookies with our customers.
In addition to operating six retail bakery locations, we have launched Crave Bake at Home products in over 150 grocery stores across Alberta and British Columbia. We aim to expand our business throughout Western Canada. This role is responsible for strategically growing sales and market share for our CPG products while maintaining and increasing sales in our current markets. Our goal is to find a passionate and knowledgeable individual who strives for success by promoting the growth of our CPG line in grocery store aisles.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategy and Opportunity
• Identify and secure new business opportunities through proactive sales and efforts.
• Develop a strategic plan to achieve Crave’s sales goals and growth.
• Partner with Key Decision Makers (KDMs) to develop and execute detailed action plans to increase and improve sales results within their stores based on sales analytics and growth potential.
• Use strategic relationships with KDMs to influence and negotiate customer assistance in merchandising Crave Bake at Home products.
• Work with individual banners, setting promotional calendars.
• Develop and execute sales plans to meet established targets.
• Prepare for retail sales visits by obtaining and analyzing relevant store, product and market data and creating effective selling tools and presentations for KDM delivery during visits.
Relationship and Management
• Drive Customer Points of Sale through relationship development and management.
• Maintain business relationships with our customers Key Decision Makers (KDM) at the grocery store level.
• Maximize sales and display opportunities by conducting store walk-throughs with store KDMs.
• Tailor selling and products to influence KDMs to order additional products to increase sales.
• Complete and submit written reports of daily and weekly activities, competitive activity, account changes and promotions.
• Organize sales sampling programs through attendance and organizing additional staffing.
• Attend regular grocery industry events and trade shows.
• Create and achieve all merchandising objectives by executing customer-specific promotional plans through the effective use of forward selling and maintaining permanent secondary displays and other display vehicles.
• Develop and recommend strategies to improve the overall effectiveness of the Crave Bake at Home sales.
This position will be responsible to our leadership team based in Calgary and will report directly to Crave’s Director of CPG
Qualifications:
• +5 years’ sales experience in CPG (consumer packaged goods) working with National accounts.
• Possess organizational, communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with customers at all personnel levels.
• Exceptional attention to detail, the ability to think strategically, and to manage multiple tasks and projects in parallel.
• Ability to travel extensively throughout Alberta, Saskatchewan and British Columbia.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle daily.
