Crave opened in September 2004 with a passion for baking. We continue to bake the same way we started, from scratch each morning, cracking every egg. The best part of our day is sharing our cupcakes, cakes, and cookies with our customers. We are excited to share this job posting as we are opening our very first coffee shop bakery in Kelowna.

Crave seeks a dedicated and enthusiastic manager for our brand-new concept coffee bakery that has a passion for exceptional customer service, enjoy delicious baked goods, have industry experience in a coffee shop or café setting, and a love for creating warm and welcoming atmospheres for customer and fellow co-workers.

Key Responsibilities:

Store Operations:
• Manage daily operations to ensure the smooth running of the bakery and coffee shop.
• Maintain high standards of product quality and store cleanliness.
• Oversee inventory management, including ordering supplies and managing stock levels.

Customer Service & Interaction:
• Provide excellent customer service, addressing customer needs and resolving any issues promptly.
• Foster a friendly and inviting environment for customers and staff.
• Interact with customers to provide information about products and gather feedback.
• Ensure a positive and welcoming environment in the bakery

Team Leadership:
• Hire, train, and manage staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
• Schedule shifts and ensure adequate staffing levels to meet customer demand.

Sales and Marketing:
• Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and customer traffic.
• Promote the bakery's products through in-store promotions and community engagement.
• Support in off-site event prospects, planning and staffing

Financial Management:
• Monitor sales performance and manage the store's budget.
• Ensure proper handling of cash, credit, and other transactions.

Customer Interaction:
• Interact with customers to provide information about products and gather feedback.
• Ensure a positive and welcoming environment in the bakery.

Travel Availability:
• Training in May in Calgary
• Travel to Calgary 4-5 times a year for company meetings

This position will be responsible to our leadership team based in Calgary and will report directly to Crave’s Director of Operations.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a management role, preferably in a café/coffee shop setting.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
• Passion for baking and coffee.
