Meet Sandrine and Dina! Friends, Cyclists, Vava and Mint Chip Lovers

The two became fast friends after meeting each other just over a year ago. Sharing a love for cycling, Sandrine asked Dina if she’d like to join her in completing the Tour de Crave this past summer, and the two ended up doing it together. We definitely recommend getting a friend who will bike all around the city for a Crave cupcake!

 “On an evening walk in Kensington, I saw the Tour de Crave poster on the shop's window - it had me at ‘free cupcake.’ Sandrine goes on to explain that she loves baking and eating other’s baked goods equally. Pairing a cupcake with one of her favourite activities made participating in the Tour de Crave a no-brainer. 

After work one day, Sandrine and Dina met up at Sandrine’s house in downtown Calgary, to start their Tour de Crave journey. They worked clockwise from downtown to each Crave location.

“We weren't sure if we'd manage the whole thing at first but the moment we stopped by our first Crave of the night, we decided we were committed to success!” 

Sandrine brought her drone along in case they caught a nice sunset that evening. Making short videos has become a hobby for Sandrine and she loves putting together clips she captures to share with her family and friends. Take a peek at their Tour de Crave journey on our Instagram. 

When they’re not cycling the streets of Calgary, Sandrine is a Communications Specialist, and Dina is a Lawyer. The two of them were great sports during our photoshoot, from outfit changes to the cutest cupcake cheers we’ve ever seen. 

We are so excited to be hosting the Tour De Crave again for the final year in Calgary, Edmonton and Saskatoon. Crave exists to help people connect and it always warms our hearts to see people - like Sandrine and Dina, coming together to enjoy the outdoors, connect with friends and explore their city.
